Commitment to Achieving Net Zero
Be Well Care Ltd is fully committed to achieving Net Zero greenhouse gas emissions by 31st December 2049, in line with the UK Government’s legally binding target and the expectations set out in PPN 06/21. As a provider of supported living services, we recognise our responsibility to reduce our environmental impact while continuing to deliver high-quality, person-centred care.
Our commitment to Net Zero is not only a response to climate change but also a reflection of our values—promoting wellbeing, sustainability, and community resilience. We understand that even small organisations can make a meaningful contribution to carbon reduction through thoughtful planning, responsible procurement, and behavioural change.

Strategic Approach
To achieve Net Zero, we are implementing a phased and realistic strategy that includes:
- Reducing direct emissions (Scope 1) by transitioning our fleet from petrol to hybrid vehicles by 2026, and to fully electric or hydrogen fuel cell vehicles by 2032.
- Minimising indirect emissions (Scope 2) by switching to 100% renewable electricity suppliers and improving energy efficiency in our office and supported living property.
- Addressing value chain emissions (Scope 3) by:
- Encouraging staff to use public transport, bicycles, or walk where possible.
- Adopting a paper-free digital care management system.
- Selecting suppliers and contractors who are committed to achieving carbon neutrality by 2045.
Governance and Accountability
This commitment is embedded in our organisational governance. The Director and senior leadership team are responsible for overseeing the implementation of our Carbon Reduction Plan, monitoring progress, and ensuring that sustainability is integrated into all operational decisions.
We will review our emissions annually, update our reduction targets as needed, and publish progress reports to maintain transparency and accountability.
Social and Local Impact
Operating in the area, we are mindful of our role in supporting the Council’s climate action goals. We aim to align our efforts with Council’s environmental strategies, contributing to a cleaner, greener, and healthier local community.
Declaration and Sign-Off.
This Carbon Reduction Plan has been completed in accordance with PPN 06/21 and the GHG Reporting Protocol. It has been reviewed and approved by the management team of Be Well Care Ltd.
